In this role, you will be responsible for analyzing and positioning product demand; aligning it to the company's inventory management, production and supply plans and deliverables.

What you will be doing:

  • Organizes and supervises the material flow for job picking, staging, shipping and receiving of all materials.
  • Assess and interpret demand and evaluate if in alignment with forecast/planning pipeline, distribution processes and capacity.
  • Coordinates and negotiates with vendors for price and procurement.
  • Evaluate the sales forecast and ensure that resources, capacity, and the flow path can meet demands.
  • Coordinate activities across functional areas to manage changes in supply and demand.
  • Manage inventory stock levels; adjustments based on customers and business conditions.
  • Manage and integrate the master scheduling process into the company's supply chain.
  • Communicate and partner with internal customer-facing teams when there are significant variations in product supply/demand.
  • Reconcile inaccuracies with customer shipments and deliveries.
  • Schedule demand based on availability and capacity and provide accurate commitment dates to Customer Relations to work with the Customer.
  • Assemble master schedule reporting regarding performance to the business plan, the shipment plan, the inventory plan and the product plan.
  • Manage daily quality checks to the supply/demand processes.
  • Performs other related duties as required or assigned.

Skills Knowledge and Expertise

What you need:

  • Strategic thinking and strong analytic skills.
  • Injection molding or blow molding experience a must.
  • 2-years process improvement and supply chain management.
  • Proficient with industry software and MRP and ERP systems.
  • Utilize ERP and Microsoft products in managing the planning process.
  • Solid, proven organizational and project management skills.
  • Change agent - skill with enabling change, strong influencing abilities particularly with frontline teams.
  • Exceptional interpersonal/written communication skills.
  • Team player able to work well across business operations and develop strong business teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence teams and programs regarding quality, productivity and/or customer relations.
  • Ability to work on multiple projects with limited direction.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration or engineering preferred.
  • Five plus years of relevant education or experience in planning, purchasing, logistics, or a related field.
  • Previous experience as a materials/operations manager would be nice.

Computer Skills

  • Intermediate: Spreadsheet.
  • Basic: Word processing/typing, alphanumeric data entry.
