Keyes Refrigeration is looking for a Commercial Construction Supervisor

Job Summary:

The Commercial Construction Supervisor / Project Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of commercial construction projects from planning through completion. This includes coordinating subcontractors, managing budgets and schedules, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and building codes, and maintaining clear communication with clients, vendors, and internal teams.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Planning & Management

• Develop, implement, and manage project plans, schedules, and budgets.
• Ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and within budget.
• Conduct pre-construction meetings and coordinate with design and engineering teams.
• Secure necessary permits and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.

Construction Supervision

• Supervise all on-site construction activities.
• Coordinate and manage subcontractors, suppliers, and laborers.
• Ensure quality workmanship and adherence to plans and specifications.
• Monitor daily job site progress and maintain detailed records.

Safety & Compliance

• Enforce company safety policies and OSHA standards.
• Conduct regular site inspections to ensure a safe working environment.
• Address and resolve safety concerns promptly.

Budget & Cost Control

• Review and approve invoices, change orders, and purchase orders.
• Track project costs and forecast potential budget variances.
• Negotiate contracts and pricing with subcontractors and vendors.

Client & Stakeholder Communication

• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients during construction.
• Provide regular updates on progress, timelines, and any issues or delays.
• Ensure client satisfaction through effective communication and problem-solving.

Qualifications:

Education & Experience

• 5+ years of experience in commercial construction management or supervision.
• Proven experience managing commercial projects (retail, office, hospitality, etc.) from start to finish.

Skills & Competencies

• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Proficient in construction management software (e.g., Procore, Buildertrend, Microsoft Project).
• Strong understanding of building codes, safety regulations, and industry standards.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
