Summary:
The Test Lab Operator will assemble and installation of API compliant centrifugal pumps on test stand, flexible and rigid joint pipe assembly and installation up to 36" diameter, connection of ANSI class 150# - 2500# flanges, mechanical shaft alignment via optical laser alignment tool, electric motor power connections up to 4160V, API mechanical seal flush plan installation, daily operation of flow control valves (butterfly, gate, globe), Daily overhead crane operation and heavy equipment operation.
Currently seeking a Test Lab Operator to join our Shreveport, LA location.
Responsibilities of the Test Lab Operator include, but are not limited to:
- Evaluate pump(s) to be tested to establish appropriate test parameters as required by governing organization
- Identify and confirm availability of required test equipment and components
- Schedule and reserve required resources to facilitate test
- Oversee pump installation to ensure safety of personnel and correct configuration of pump and components in test loop
- Utilize test control computer and software to operate pumps under controlled conditions across predetermined range and collect data as established per specific procedures
- Present collected data in report format for delivery to customer

Qualifications of the Test Lab Operator include, but are not limited to:
- Familiar with API, HI, ASME, ANSI and other industry standards and organizations
- Basic understanding of pneumatic and hydraulic principles; as well as electric controls, calibration requirements, PLC's, VFD's, instrumentation and control loops
- Three phase electrical motors (low and medium voltage)
- Experience with rotating machinery alignment
- Knowledge of vibration monitoring & analysis
- Ability to always maintain safety awareness attitude
- Effective communication and organizational skills
- Willingness to undertake additional training as deemed necessary by management in order to maintain technical understanding of new and/or improved tools, techniques, processes and safety
- Willingness to work in both shop and office style environments
- Computer skills required (Microsoft Office)
- Dedicated team player
