Job Description:

This position will be part of the Bond team and will provide support for bond-funded projects. This position is funded for 4 to 5 years.

Position Specific Information (if Applicable):

Responsible for the repair, maintenance and installation of low voltage electrical systems and equipment. Develops and promotes good community relations among various district and community clientele.

Essential Physical Requirements:

  • Regularly lifts five (5) to twenty (20) pounds
  • Frequent lifting of twenty (20) to fifty (50) pounds
  • Occasional lifting over fifty (50) pounds
  • Frequent climbing stairs and ladders
  • Frequent sitting and standing
  • Regular bending, squatting, kneeling, and climbing.
  • Regularly required to move around work place, manipulating and handling, reaching and detecting objects and equipment, reaching for objects and equipment while simultaneously assisting balancing, positioning, lifting.

Minimum Experience Requirement:

  • 6-8 years of job related experience

Minimum Education or Formal Training:

  • High School Diploma
  • Specialized training beyond high school.
  • Must have a minimum of 288 hours of electrical training in grounding/bonding, NEC code changes, wiring methods, theory/calculations plus a minimum of 10 hours of OSHA curriculum based safety training.
  • Must have an additional 2,000 hours of on the job training as a Journeyman.
  • Must maintain license through continuing competency requirements as required every three years.

Responsibilities:

Maintain and repair scoreboards.

Responsible for maintenance, repairs and replacement of all sound systems in all buildings including stadium sound systems.

Repair and replace classroom sound reinforcement systems.

Responsible for all lock down "panic" button design, installation and maintenance in 70 buildings.

Program and train staff in all new mobile wiring and connections.

Project manager for all sound system upgrades in multiple buildings.

Perform other related duties as assigned or requested.

Manage Telecenter ICS intercom paging systems in 70 buildings. Includes maintenance, troubleshooting and programming.

Responsible for 70 bell systems involving ICS and Primex clock systems for time synchronization.

Responsible for all clock systems in the District including systems by Primex, National HH and HL, Simplex, American Time. This includes the manual time synchronization twice a year for daylight savings on 10 clock systems.

Responsible for parking lot light control in multiple buildings controlled by Simplex or ICS.

Certifications:

Journeyman Electrician - CO Dept of Regulatory Agencies (DORA)

Education:

High School or Equivalent

Skills:

Ability to maintain and take care of District provided tools, vehicles and equipment., Ability to read blueprints and schematic drawings., Ability to work cooperatively with team members., Ability to work effectively without supervision., Excellent customer service skills., Has the ability to translate complex instructions into simpler instructions as necessary, Knowledge of electrical codes, Knowledge of industrial electrical equipment, Knowledge of low and high voltage circuitry, Knowledge of occupational hazards and safety precautions, Must maintain license through the continuing competency requirements as required every three years., Observes all District policies and procedures., Strong verbal and written communication skills

$29.28 USD - $49.45 USD Hourly

  • All salary amounts listed above are based on a full-time (1.0) FTE. If applicable, part-time salaries will be prorated according to the assigned FTE.
