Responsible to supervise and provide hands on installation and maintenance on fire sprinkler systems in accordance with federal, state, and local requirements. 50% of the time is spent out in the field supervising projects and 50% of time is spent in the office ordering parts/materials, handling billing, scheduling in addition to other administrative duties. This is a working supervisory position. Maintain their vehicle in accordance with company procedures and ensure it is clean and organized. Protect the Companys assets.

JOB REQUIREMENTS :

  • Requires prior fire sprinkler experience.

  • Supervisory experience preferred but not required.

  • Scheduling, coordinating, and managing all field activities related to fire sprinkler system installation.

  • Overseeing and leading fire sprinkler installation crews, ensuring efficient workflow and productivity.

  • Ensuring all work is performed in accordance with relevant fire codes, regulations, and standards.

  • Implementing and enforcing safety procedures and protocols to maintain a safe working environment.

  • Monitoring the quality of work to minimize defects and ensure the system meets project specifications.

  • Collaborating with other trades, contractors, and project managers to ensure smooth project progress.

  • Identifying and resolving any issues or problems that arise during installation, maintenance, or repair.

  • Maintaining accurate records of work performed, materials used, and any necessary documentation for project closeout.

  • Ensuring materials are available on-site and properly managed to avoid delays.

  • Maintaining clear and effective communication with all stakeholders, including clients, foremen, and other team members.

  • Awareness of budget vs. actual job costing details and participating in meetings for improvement opportunities.

  • May be involved in training and mentoring junior staff.

  • Valid drivers license and a current and sustainable good driving record.

  • A strong work ethic and professional appearance.

  • Excellent selling, communications, and customer service skills. The ability to fit in with our culture of teamwork

DESIREABLE BACKGROUND:

In addition to the above, the most desirable candidate will have:

  • In-depth knowledge of fire protection systems: This includes various types like wet, dry, pre-action, and deluge systems, their components, and installation techniques.

  • A thorough understanding of National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) standards, including NFPA 13, 14, 20, 24, 72 and 25, is crucial to ensure compliance and safety.

  • The ability to accurately interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications is essential for proper system installation and troubleshooting.

  • Previous project management experience.

Successful completion of a drug test and pre-employment background screening is required. MVR checks are required for all driving positions.
