Roles and Responsibilities:

Administration of the main contract in line projects requirements, compliance with contract notification, certification, and response timeframes, tracking changes and monitoring each change through a change order process.

Undertake and participate in regular project reviews helping to identify opportunities and risks to Projects contractual performance. Liaison with the project management team to resolve all contract issues and facilitate negotiation of client contract terms and conditions.

Ensure flow down of prime contract requirements to subcontractors by reviewing identifying, highlighting, and processing. Manage flow downs across the different stakeholders through consistent communication and documentation

Be actively involved in preparing strategies to manage those risks and opportunities and executing on those strategies including appropriate correspondence, record keeping, meetings and pro-actively follow up to a suitable conclusion

Take lead on all contractual matters including but not limited to contract compliance, change management and claim mitigation strategies.

Analyzing the basis and extent of change Tracking claims and monitoring progress through the claims resolution process. Analyzing claims and identifying merit/validity if any managing disputes, managing commercial interface/reporting with client and other parties Analysis and valuations of work done.

Ensuring that all contract management process and procedures are in place to effectively control and manage the relevant contracts

Ensure that all necessary bonds, warranties, insurances, undertakings, etc are in the commercial interest of the Company and in accordance with the relevant contract

Challenge and negotiate claims and variations submitted by the Contractor and provide an assessment of entitlement to the Employer based on the Contract and the prevailing law

Take ownership and proactively manage all commercial risks / mitigation on the Project

Maintain contract-related documents and correspondence. Provide both internal and external contract-related issue resolution. Communicate contract-related information to all stakeholders

Monitor and complete contract close-out, extension or renewal, as appropriate

Negotiating any final settlements on contract terms with our clients and sub-contractors

Assist management on any prospects with the bid support team and business unit leaders to bring our commercial knowledge and best practice into bid preparation ensuring scope, conditions, payment terms, risks and opportunities are effectively managed at bid stage

Minimum qualification & experience:Bachelor Degree in Quantity Surveying/Engineering with suitable contractual, legal or commercial background

Professional accreditation with a recognized international institute

12+ years of post-qualification experience in a similar capacity

Demonstrable expertise in Contracts Administration for high value EPC Projects

Good knowledge and experience in FIDIC and other industry standard contract types

Well versed in contracts / agreements: principles, theory and application, terminology and development as well as practices and procedures

Understanding of contracts law with demonstrable experience.

Detailed experience of contract assessment and negotiations.

Strong negotiating skills and an understanding of the commercial impact of their activities.

Lead the commercial management of potential project delays, variations and act as escalation point the resolution of conflicts with clients, suppliers and contractors should they arise.

Experience with claims management and arbitration support

Ethical, credible, and commercially astute

Able to work independently and work under pressure

Self-motivated, able to priorities work with target-oriented approach. Ability to work autonomously, while reviewing work on a regular basis to consistently meet objectives.

Excellent communication skills verbal and written

Ability to handle a heavy workload, and to work effectively within a team.
