RJP is seeking experienced Carpenter Foremen/Superintendents to lead and oversee wood and timber-framed commercial construction projects . This is a full-time, year-round position with opportunities in the Provo, Salt Lake City, and Ogden areas.
Project Scope Includes:
- Small to large wood and timber-framed buildings
- Hotels and multi-family developments
- Full structural framing and carpentry oversight
We are looking for dedicated leaders with a strong background in wood and timber framing who can manage crews, maintain schedules, and ensure quality workmanship on site.
ResponsibilitiesSupervise carpenters and general laborers in the framing of commercial wood and timber structures, ensuring work is completed efficiently, safely, and in accordance with project plans, specifications, and schedules.
Drive productivity and maintain high-quality workmanship throughout all phases of construction.
Oversee all job site operations, including safety compliance, subcontractor coordination, and material deliveries.
Conduct thorough pre-task planning and lead daily jobsite meetings. Maintain accurate daily reports, logs, and documentation.
Perform routine equipment and tool inspections to ensure proper operation and safety.
Foster a positive and professional work environment, providing clear direction, mentorship, and support to crew members.
Communicate effectively with project managers, general contractors, and other trades to ensure smooth project flow and resolve issues promptly.
Proactively identify potential delays or issues and implement solutions to keep the project on track.
QualificationsProven experience leading and managing wood-framed construction projects.
Strong background in wood and timber framing.
Ability to read and interpret construction plans, drawings, and specifications.
Self-motivated with strong leadership and team management skills.
Experience operating job site equipment; certifications for forklift, scissor lift, and boom lift are a plus.
NCCCO Tower Crane certification is a plus.
OSHA 30 certification is preferred.
Valid drivers license required.
