Project Superintendent

KNP CONSTRUCTION, INC. is looking for skilled Project Superintendents who are experienced in commercial building projects. Looking for applicants with experience in retail buildings, restaurants, financial institutions, office spaces. Applicants will be proficient in scheduling and time management as well as having extensive knowledge of the trades required to build commercial building from the ground up. The ability to comprehensively read and understand plans, shop drawings, and submittals, as well as great organizational skills are a must. The applicant must be able to pass a skills test demonstrating the ability to read plans to the employers satisfaction. Communication skills are also necessary as the applicant will be working with many subcontractors, the office staff, and Project Owners. Superintendents represent KNP Construction in interactions with owners, subcontractors, suppliers, inspectors, and the general public.

It is the responsibility of the Superintendent to make sure that each job is completed in the amount of time allotted with the highest degree of quality, while maintaining cost to ensure the project stays within budget. The jobsite superintendent must maintain the schedule of the job to allow for on time completion. Superintendents must communicate daily with owners, project managers, subcontractors, suppliers, inspectors, and office staff to make sure the job progresses on schedule and in budget. Superintendents will manage the safety, quality and productivity of the jobsite with multiple daily inspections and hands on control supervision. Superintendents will document in a daily log the activities goin on in within the jobsite, including subcontractors on the job, inspections, communications, hours worked, purchases, equipment picked up or dropped off, safety conditions and accident reports as wells as hours worked.

Requirements: Experience as a Commercial Superintendent. Superintendent will be a hands on, working superintendent. Knowledge of Construction Trades and Skills, Plan Reading and Comprehension. Organization, Communication, customer Service, Keeping everyone involved in the job on task and on schedule, Computer skills preferred, training will be provided. Superintendent will be required to submit daily logs and pictures to be sent via email. Physical activity will occasionally be performed.(i.e. lifting, reaching, climbing, walking etc) Valid Drivers license is required.
