Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Construction Carpenter with 15 years of experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in commercial construction and be proficient in installing doors, door hardware, toilet partitions, and general framing. This position requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team on job sites in Roanoke and surrounding areas.

Responsibilities

• Install doors and door hardware with precision and efficiency.

• Assemble and install toilet partitions according to specifications.

• Perform general framing tasks including wood and metal stud framing.

• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications.

• Ensure work is completed in compliance with safety regulations and company standards.

• Maintain a clean and organized work environment.

• Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in using hand and power tools.

• Ability to read and interpret construction documents.

• Strong understanding of construction safety practices.

• 15 years of carpentry experience in commercial construction.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Reliable transportation to job sites in Roanoke and surrounding areas.

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

• Comfortable working on ladders, scaffolding, and in various weather conditions.

• Capable of standing, bending, and kneeling for extended periods.

Work Environment

Work hours are Monday to Friday, 7 am to 3:30 pm, with occasional weekends as needed. The work involves new construction sites, requiring the use of various hand and power tools, and entails tasks like rough carpentry, door installation, and framing.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Roanoke, Virginia.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.
