Hiring Paint Prep Laborer - START ASAP - PAYING $22-$20/Hr. Job Description We are seeking a dedicated Prep Laborer to join our team. The role involves preparing axles and other components for painting by ensuring surfaces are clean, smooth, and ready for the application of primers and coatings. This position requires attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Responsibilities Prepare axles and components for painting by cleaning, sanding, and masking. Ensure all surfaces are free of contaminants and defects. Apply primers and coatings as required. Inspect surfaces for contamination, damage, or imperfections. Clean and degrease surfaces to be painted. Scrape and sand surfaces to remove old paint, rust, or other imperfections. Mix and apply primer or undercoat. Mask and demask, protecting areas that should not be painted. Maintain equipment and tools used for painting preparation. Document preparation processes and materials used for quality control purposes. Maintain a clean and organized work area. Follow safety protocols and guidelines. Essential Skills Experience in a manufacturing or automotive environment is preferred. Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience in paint preparation, sanding, priming, and masking. Familiarity with production and manufacturing environments. Why Work Here? Work Environment The work environment is a dynamic manufacturing setting with a running assembly line and forklifts throughout the facility. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as steel toes, ear plugs, and gloves are required. Shifts available include the first shift from 5am/6am to 2:30pm and the second shift from 3pm to midnight. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Alburtis, Pennsylvania. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.
