Commercial Carpenter Job Description We are seeking a skilled Commercial Carpenter to perform wood and metal stud framing, acoustic ceiling installation, and drywall backing. The ideal candidate will be experienced in reading blueprints and accurately laying out framing systems. Responsibilities Install commercial doors, frames, and hardware such as locks, closers, and panic devices. Read and interpret blueprints for accurate layout of framing systems. Perform wood and metal stud framing. Install acoustic ceilings. Use hand and power tools proficiently. Adhere to construction safety standards. Work independently or as part of a team. Essential Skills 3+ years of commercial carpentry experience. Proficiency with hand and power tools. Understanding of construction safety standards. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience in reading blueprints. OSHA 10 and OSHA 30 certification. Boom Lift and Scissor Lift operation. First Aid and CPR certification. Work Environment Candidates will work in commercial environments with shifts from 6am - 2:30pm or 7am - 3:30pm depending on the jobsite. Proper attire includes hard hats, high visibility clothing, and work boots. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position with jobsites around the Chicagoland area. Must be comfortable commuting around the Chicagoland area. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $40.00/hr.
