Cable Technician

Cabling Technician Location : Wilmington NC Employment Type : Ongoing Contract Overview: We are seeking a dependable Cabling Technician to support structured cabling installations in Wilmington, NC. This is an ongoing opportunity for candidates with strong cable termination skills and a commitment to delivering high-quality work. Primary Responsibilities: Install and terminate Cat5e, Cat6, and fiber optic cables. Test and certify cable runs using appropriate tools. Interpret blueprints and wiring diagrams. Maintain organized cable pathways and accurate labeling. Use hand and power tools including punch-down tools, crimpers, and testers. Collaborate with team members and site leads to ensure project success. Qualifications: At least 1 year of experience in structured cabling. Proficiency in cable termination (RJ45, fiber connectors, patch panels). Familiarity with industry standards such as TIA/EIA. Ability to work independently and travel to job sites in the Norwalk area. Strong attention to detail and adherence to safety protocols. Connecticut Low Voltage License is a huge plus. Compensation: Pay is based on experience.
