Join the Team That's Powering the Future
At Nextlink, we're not just an Internet company-we're building the future of rural connectivity and energy. As a leading ISP operating across multiple states, we're expanding fast-and so is our solar infrastructure program. We're looking for a Journeyman Electrician who's ready to help build, shape, and lead the next phase of our growth.
If you're passionate about building real systems, working with a purpose, and bringing energy solutions to communities, this is the opportunity for you.
What You'll Do
This is more than just electrical work-you'll be part of a hands-on team designing and building solar power systems that support our Internet towers, warehouses, and critical infrastructure. You'll play a key role in growing our solar program from the ground up, with the opportunity to shape how we power our network for years to come.
Design and build solar systems for our communication towers and warehouse sites
Take ownership of installations from concept through commissioning
Use blueprints, wiring diagrams, and manufacturer manuals to deliver clean, efficient systems
Work closely with city officials to manage electrical permitting and inspections
Be a go-to resource for solar-related electrical projects
Drive continuous improvement in our solar deployment process
Maintain safety, code compliance, and professional standards in every job
Why This Role Rocks
You'll be building real systems-not just maintaining existing ones
You'll have the freedom to design and troubleshoot in the field
You'll help grow a renewable energy program that directly supports community connectivity
You'll be part of a tight-knit, mission-driven team with big plans
What We're Looking For
A licensed Journeyman Electrician with 5+ years of experience
A builder and problem solver-someone who can think on their feet
Experience in solar and battery installations (or willingness to learn fast)
Familiarity with the National Electric Code and permitting processes
A self-starter who takes pride in quality work and cares about doing it right
Comfortable working outdoors, at heights, and with your hands every day
A clean driving record and willingness to travel 20-40% of the time
Your Toolkit
Strong communication and leadership skills
Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings
Proven track record of professionalism and follow-through
Confidence working with tools, materials, and tight deadlines
What We Offer
Competitive pay: $32-$35/hour
Full benefits: health, dental, vision, HSA, and 401(k) with match
Paid time off + employee discounts
A chance to grow your career in an emerging energy sector
The satisfaction of seeing your work power real infrastructure
Our Commitment
Nextlink is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer. We believe in building a team as diverse as the communities we serve. We maintain a drug-free, safety-first workplace and are committed to inclusion, innovation, and integrity.
Ready to power up your career and help shape the future of solar? and be part of something bigger.
