Job Summary
The Painter & Drywall will be responsible for preparing, finishing, and painting surfaces as well as installing and repairing drywall in residential and commercial settings. This position requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently while meeting high-quality standards. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in painting and drywall work, maintain a safe work environment, and work well independently or as part of a team.
Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
- Measure, cut, and install drywall panels for walls and ceilings.
- Tape, mud, sand, and texture drywall to prepare for painting or final finish.
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, patching, and priming.
- Apply paints, stains, or coatings using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment.
- Match and mix paint colors as needed.
- Repair and refinish damaged drywall, including holes, cracks, and water damage.
- Maintain tools and equipment in safe working order.
- Ensure a clean and organized worksite, adhering to all safety guidelines.
- Communicate progress, challenges, and timelines with supervisors or project managers.
Qualifications
Experience
- Minimum of 3-4 years of experience in painting, drywall installation, and finishing.
- Experience with both residential and commercial projects preferred.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of painting techniques, drywall installation, and finishing methods.
- Ability to match paint colors and maintain consistent finishes.
- Familiarity with various texture applications (knockdown, orange peel, etc.).
- Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
- Physical stamina and ability to lift and carry materials.
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
