Position Summary :

Responsible for contributing to the activities of the McCormick Kitchens needed to drive innovation and deliver product, recipe and content development in support of the McCormick family of brands, Club and Ecomm. Responsible for proactively supporting McCormick Kitchens in the planning, evaluation, and execution of Innovation, Marketing, PR & Sales plans that incorporate the principles and best practices of content development and recipe marketing that drive results. Responsible for delivering and influencing business-building food ideas to exceed consumers expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Works cross-functionally to provide culinary expertise through the product and content development processes. Works closely with Brand, Innovation, Digital, Shopper Marketing, PR, E-comm, Licensing, PD and other teams to deliver best in class products, recipes and content.
  • Actively provides culinary leadership for McCormick Kitchens for the brands and projects they own. Manages the development of gold standard recipes and culinary prototypes for new product concepts, line extensions and digital content including photo and video shoots, info-graphics and article content.
  • Implements best-in-class practices/procedures for consumer culinary recipe, content and product development.
  • Tracks and share broadly with CPD and external agency teams - food and flavor trends, including cuisines, ingredients, preparation methods, equipment, demographic and generational preferences. Demonstrates turning insights into action by creating trend based proto-types to share with internal teams.
  • Responsible for on-going coaching, development and management of direct reports. Includes providing feedback on performance, setting OGSM to drive business initiatives and Development Plans to ensure staff development and career progression.

Qualifications :

  • BA/BS Culinary / Culinary Nutrition / Culinary Science / Consumer Science or other discipline (such as marketing/business) with significant culinary experience
  • 6 years experience in culinary field with recipe and product development experience and a concentration in CPG consumer test kitchens.
  • Experience in creating branded retail consumer-centric recipes and content including photo and video shoots
  • Experience working with brand management, innovation, sales and digital teams for product and content creation and participation in the sell-in process
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work well and collaborate with cross-functional teams
  • Ability to lead and influence and obtain results for the business.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills on complex projects when dealing with limited or ambiguous details or information
  • Excellent presentation skills and proficiency speaking in front of groups including senior leaders
  • Strong project management skills
  • Culinary Degree Preferred

Base Salary: $74,330 - $130,080

Base salary compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, experience for this role, and/or internal equity of our current employees as part of any final offer. This position is also eligible to participate in McCormicks Incentive Bonus (MIB) Plan.
