Project Engineer

We're looking for an experienced Project Engineer to lead our bridge construction projects. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the project lifecycle, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality and safety standards. You'll play a key role in managing project staff, coordinating with stakeholders, and maintaining accurate project records. This is a hands-on role that requires a solid understanding of heavy/highway construction and a commitment to excellence.

responsibilities:

  • Project Support: Assist the Project Manager in all phases of the project, including planning, scheduling, and execution.

  • Cost & Schedule Control: Monitor project budgets and timelines, helping to ensure financial and scheduling targets are met.

  • Documentation: Maintain accurate and detailed project records, including daily reports, submittals, and requests for information (RFIs).

  • Quality Assurance: Conduct site inspections to ensure work is performed to the required quality standards and in compliance with project specifications.

  • Safety & EEO: Actively promote and enforce site safety protocols and company EEO policies.

  • Equipment Management: Help track and manage the usage and maintenance of project equipment.

  • Professional Development: Take initiative in your own professional growth and contribute to the development of the project team.

Travel:

  • Willingness to travel within North and South Carolina is required.
