Mechanical Engineer

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Designing mechanical systems and establishing project criteria.

• Managing projects, including budgets, schedules, and documentation.

• Producing all phases of construction documents (schematic, design, and construction).

• Conducting field assessments, studies, and site visits.

• Partnering with clients, construction managers, and other disciplines to meet milestones.

• Creating functional, constructible designs that prioritize quality.

• Collaborating with the team to share lessons learned and improve processes.

• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited program.

• Professional Engineering (P.E.) license strongly preferred (not required, but a big plus).

• 7+ years of professional experience in mechanical design (A/E industry preferred).

• Proficiency in REVIT, building load programs, and other engineering software systems.

• Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively and build client trust.

• Involvement in ASHRAE or similar professional organizations is a plus.

• Based in Kalamazoo (ideal) or Grand Rapids and willing to travel to both offices.
