HVAC Estimator

Job Title: Estimator - Burlington, MA
Location: Burlington, MA
Salary: $100,000-$150,000 DOE + Benefits

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Estimator to join our team in Burlington, MA. The Estimator will be responsible for preparing accurate project cost estimates for commercial HVAC/MEP projects. This role requires reviewing contract documents, performing quantity take-offs, assembling RFPs, and analyzing vendor and subcontractor proposals. The ideal candidate will participate in bid and scope review meetings and provide detailed cost breakdowns to support project planning and management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Read and comprehend contract documents, including specifications, project scopes, drawings, and standards to prepare accurate project cost estimates.

• Perform material quantity take-offs from drawings to develop material and labor pricing.

• Assemble scoped RFPs for vendors and subcontractors to obtain pricing; analyze and select the best value proposals for inclusion in estimates.

• Participate in bid and scope review meetings, explaining project scope, estimated costs, assumptions, and means/methods to management for approval.

• Prepare detailed breakdowns of cost estimates to facilitate review and understanding.

• Attend project turnover meetings from estimating to project management.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Minimum 3 years of field HVAC experience or commercial MEP estimation.

• Excellent interpersonal, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

• Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.

• Effective written and verbal communication skills.

• Strong time management skills.
