Architect Needed For High End Single Family Projects!

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced architect with strong proficiency in ArchiCAD to join our team.

The ideal candidate will be capable of wearing multiple hats, including meeting with clients, leading and managing projects, and supporting junior team members and the firm principal. This role involves working on a variety of residential projects in NYC, requiring familiarity with NYC codes and wood frame construction.

Responsibilities

  • Complete Concept - Construction Administration
  • Develop drawings in ArchiCAD
  • Teach and support team members in using ArchiCAD
  • Manage multiple residential projects simultaneously (up to 15 active projects)
  • Conduct site visits and initial client meetings
  • Work on projects ranging from bathroom/kitchen renovations to additions on townhouses
  • Ensure budget adherence and provide cost-effective solutions
  • Collaborate on interior design and decorating tasks
Essential Skills
  • Extensive experience with ArchiCAD
  • Residential architecture experience, particularly in NYC
  • Familiarity with NYC building codes and wood frame construction
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in residential projects for private clients
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and responsibilities
  • Strong understanding of budgeting and cost management
  • Excellent communication and client interaction skills
Work Environment

There is flexibility with start times and options for work-from-home arrangements. While the preference is for new employees to be in the office every day, there is flexibility regarding arrival times and occasional remote work.

The firm values flexibility and hands-on involvement in projects.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $48.00 - $57.00/hr.
