About the Role

As a Superintendent Interiors at Z Modular, you will oversee all modular site-related activities, ensuring seamless coordination between the Z Modular production facility, general contractors, and subcontractors. This position plays a key role in maintaining project schedules, managing vendors, enforcing quality and compliance standards, and resolving on-site challenges. The role requires strong leadership, problem-solving skills, and extensive experience in interior construction and finishing for modular projects.

You will collaborate with project managers, production managers, site superintendents, and subcontractors to ensure successful project execution. This is a field-based role with extensive travel required across project sites in Arizona.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in dynamic construction environments, is detail-oriented, and enjoys leading teams to deliver high-quality interior finishes on time and within budget.

What Youll Do

• Oversees and coordinates modular construction projects from production through on-site installation.

• Collaborates with project managers, production managers, and general contractors to ensure specifications and QA/QC standards are met.

• Provides timely feedback on project progress, risks, and changes to the project manager.

• Directs all modular site-related activities to maintain budget and schedule compliance.

• Sources, qualifies, and manages material vendors to support project timelines and cost control.

• Prepares and delivers daily reports, weekly summaries, manpower updates, and three-week lookahead schedules to leadership.

• Ensures quality interior finishes, including flooring, cabinetry, drywall, and fixtures.

• Supervises Mateline/General Construction teams to complete interior work efficiently and per specifications.

• Enforces compliance with construction codes, safety regulations, and QA/QC standards.

• Promotes health and safety work practices in alignment with company policies and regulatory agencies.

Who You Are

• 710+ years of experience as a Construction Superintendent specializing in interior construction for commercial or multifamily projects.

• Bachelors degree in Construction Management or a related field.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, MS Projects), Procore, scheduling software, and CAE/CAD applications.

• OSHA 30-hour certification, First Aid/CPR, or other construction safety certifications preferred.

• Eligible to work in the United States.

• Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

• In-depth knowledge of construction processes, modular building practices, and safety/quality standards.

• Ability to travel extensively to job sites and work in outdoor construction environments.

• Comfortable standing and walking for extended periods, lifting up to 50 lbs, and working at heights or in confined spaces when needed.

• Commitment to safety compliance and professional communication on active construction sites.
