Position Summary
The Maintenance Foreman oversees Maintenance Technicians responsible for servicing, maintaining, and repairing mechanical equipment, including pumps, motors, compressors, and more, used in oil and gas production and processing. This position is at the Chord Gas Plant near Ray, ND and requires travel to well sites. Level and salary commensurate with experience.
Essential Job Functions
- Supervise preventive, predictive, and scheduled maintenance of mechanical equipment, including all gas plant systems, portable gas plants at well sites, and pigging operations
- Provide and/or direct the maintenance of all rotating and static equipment
- Implement and adhere to maintenance and repair procedures in accordance with established standards to ensure the integrity and safety of mechanical systems
- Carry out and oversee routine maintenance checks and report/resolve any faults or abnormalities of equipment
- Investigate mechanical equipment failures and recommend corrective actions
- Troubleshoot breakdowns and carry out necessary repairs
- Implement effective equipment maintenance/overhaul of specified equipment in accordance with company and vendor procedures to facilitate maximum reliability, availability and safety of the equipment (valves, compressors, pumps, vessels, heat exchangers, fans, piping etc.)
- Install or modify mechanical equipment for both hazardous and non-hazardous environments, ensuring compliance with all safety regulations
- Collaborate with the safety department to uphold a safe working environment by enforcing safety policies and procedures in line with regulatory and company standards
- Manage inventory and ordering of spare parts and equipment
- Develop and update maintenance procedures for all equipment as needed
- Coordinate with Lead Operator on any equipment or maintenance issues

Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- 5 years of related experience
- Knowledge of mechanical equipment used in Oil and Gas production and processing
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
- Proficient in using standard office equipment such as computer, printer, scanner, videoconferencing, and telephone
- Ability to use power and hand tools
- Collaborates effectively with others, using influencing skills when necessary
- Willingness and ability to enforce policies and procedures and to host difficult conversations, specifically related to upholding a safe work environment
- Effectively and clearly communicate critical information to direct reports and appropriate external parties
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and fluid environment; flexible with the demands of a growing company
- Ability to meet deadlines
- Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:
- Able to handle exposure to extreme weather conditions and areas where hazardous chemicals are present
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds, climb stairs, kneel, stoop, sit and walk extensively
- Ability to successfully complete a post-offer/pre-employment drug screen, background check, physical, and to be able to meet all physical requirements of the job
