The Accessory Development Team is responsible for the development of vehicle accessories and modifications. The team also serves as operational support for production. We are looking for a bright and talented individual that enjoys working in cross-functional teams and is passionate about developing the next generation of features and functions for Southeast Toyota.

As a Designer Release Mechanical Engineer, you will be focused on developing and operating a model year carryover check process. The skeleton for this process has been outlined, but the incoming Junior Engineer will work with the Accessory

Development team to complete the process outline and tracking dashboards (Power BI) and launch the program. This is expected to take approximately 50% of the Junior Engineer's time in their first year of employment. The remainder of the time will be dedicated to working on projects for accessory launches.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, maintain, and oversee model year carry over check process

  • Design, development, and release of automotive accessories

  • Support accessory installation events including prototype builds and launch events

  • Research emerging technologies for future accessory applications

  • Research, develop, and update design and process specifications

  • Investigate and resolve quality defects for accessories

  • Develop prototype accessories for evaluation

This role is full time (~40 hours per week) and on-site in Jacksonville, Florida. This role will require between 10% and 25% travel between all three Southeast Toyota facilities and suppliers.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering

  • Proficiency in Microsoft suite of programs

  • Solid skills in CAD design, project management, and technical problem-solving
