JOB DESCRIPTION Title of Job Field Superintendent Status Non exempt Reports To Project Manager Summary of Position The Field Superintendent will provide on site coordination for all phases of a construction project including supervising employees as needed coordinating subcontractors material and equipment ensuring specifications are being strictly followed and work is proceeding on schedule and within budget The Field Superintendent shall be responsible for scheduling inspections quality control and job site safety Job ResponsibilitiesEssential Functions Other duties may be assigned Effective communication with Project Manager customers and crews to ensure complete understanding of scope of projectsSupervise Ameritech employees as required Lead Tech Tech Helpers etcCoordinate subcontractors as needed and ensure they are fully executing and complying with the scope of workMeet with customers and store personnel to review projectsAbility to recognize problems outside of scope and effectively address with customerUnderstand jobsite protocols specific to project and siteProvide detailed written daily and weekly reports to Project ManagerEnsure all materials needed are on site on time in order to maintain scheduleAbility to schedule crews to meet customer timelinesEnsure that each team member is aware of quality standards and company policies and ensure quality of workmanship from crewCreate and maintain positive relationships with employees customers suppliersvendors and subcontractorsEnsure that all workers on the site work in harmony and attempt to keep conflict at bayIntervene during conflicts between members and exercise tact to ward it offReport crew performance to Project ManagerMaintain composure when faced with adverse situations and rapidly changing environmentsAlways maintain professionalism tact diplomacy and sensitivity to portray the Company in a positive mannerJob ResponsibilitiesEssential Functions Other duties may be assigned continued Ensure self and crew obtain adequate rest to effectively and safely complete assigned projectsMaintain a clean and safe work environmentIdentify and rectify job hazards on an immediate basisFacilitate purchasing of needed materialsMay perform surveys and estimate jobsPerform duties with minimal supervision Required Knowledge Skills and Abilities These requirements are representative but not all inclusive of the knowledge skill and ability required to perform this job Knowledge and experience in General Contracting General knowledge of all trades Demonstrated ability to use hand tools Professional demeanor selling style and appearance Able to build and maintain lasting relationships with customers Possess proven problem solving solutions for the customer and the company Must be self motivated and able to work independently to meet or exceed goalsEffective organizational planning communication and superior time managementDemonstrated ability to complete projects on time and under budgetAbility to work individually and as part of a team High level of integrity and work ethicComputer proficiency in Windows and Microsoft applicationsMinimum Qualifications Knowledge of construction safety and safety procedures Excellent verbal and written skills Extremely Organized Supervisory experience Five 5 to ten 10 years of construction experience Must be able to pass a drug test Must be able to pass a background check Must valid and active drivers license Access to reliable transportation to reach customer locations Dependable and able to work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends Ability to travel 80 100 of time Physical Demands These physical demands are representative of the physical requirements necessary for an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the job Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions While performing the responsibilities of the job the employee may be required to Move about the work site working around people and equipment Occasionally ascendsdescend a ladder or stairs Operate tools or equipment Positions self to install or remove equipment including maneuvering in small spaces Required to sit talk and hear The employee must occasionally lift andor move equipment or materials up to 50 pounds The employee is required to use hands to type handle or feel objects tools and computer controls Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and distance vision Frequently communicates with customers and co workers while performing job tasks This is a list of the major responsibilities duties and physical demands required of this position and may not be all inclusive Nothing in this job description restricts the Companys right to assign or reassign duties and responsibilities to this job at any time
