Job Description The Operations and Start-Up Leader will play a key role in supporting capital projects and initiatives to meet business, schedule, and budget objectives. This position supports the End-to-End Manager and will focus on the operational side of these projects, including the evaluation and implementation of business processes, equipment, systems, and technology. Responsibilities
- Support the End-to-End Manager with project team coaching, scope development, risk management, and key milestone identification.
- Align external partners with expectations and enforce requirements and standards.
- Lead identification of operational requirements and success criteria development.
- Provide input to and track operational budget and operational deliverables in the project schedule.
- Develop ramp-up/start-up plans in collaboration with the project team.
- Facilitate key project workshops such as Scope Alignment, VSED, Kickstart, Current Operations Assessment, and Project Defect Analysis.
- Consult on and track progress against recruiting, staffing, and training.
- Identify continuous improvement opportunities in business processes and systems and support change management strategies.
- Ensure operational safety is fully considered and escalate operational risks.
- Coordinate and monitor equipment readiness and safety, including FAT, Machine Risk Assessments, Site Acceptance Testing, LOTO, SHE, and QA/Food Safety Planning.
- Lead commissioning, qualification planning, coordination, execution, and reporting.
- Track progress of development and implementation of Key Standard Routines, ME documentation, TPM, and 5S.
- Ensure successful startup and smooth transition to operations.
- Ensure the achievement of business objectives such as line performance, safety measures, and product qualification.
- Bachelors degree with 3+ years of change management, business analysis, and project management experience in a manufacturing, industrial, military, or related environment.
- OR Associates degree with 5+ years of project management, change management, and/or business analysis experience in a manufacturing, industrial, and/or military environment.
- 1+ years experience in early management, operations, and/or a startup environment.
- Experience with packaging engineering, packaging, and packaging equipment.
- Operational start-up experience.
