Pipe Layer / Laborer

Black Forest Paving is seeking a reliable and hardworking Pipe Layer / Laborer to join our excavation crew to assist with the installation of underground utilities, including water, sewer and storm drainage systems.

• Install and align pipe systems for water, sewer and drainage
• Excavate and prepare trenches using hand tools or machinery
• Assist with grading and backfilling trenches
• Operate and maintain hand and power tools
• Follow safety procedures and company policies at all times
• Load and unload material as needed
• Support other crew members and supervisors as required

• Previous experience as a pipe layer or laborer preferred
• Ability to read and interpret construction plans is a plus
• Physically fit and able to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for long periods of time and work in various weather conditions
• Basic knowledge of tools and equipment used in underground utility work
• Must be dependable, punctual and a team player
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation preferred
