Welder/Fabricator Job Description As a Welder/Fabricator, you will be responsible for producing finished welded parts from design packages. You will run jobs from fit-up to completion, ensuring high-quality standards are met. Responsibilities Fabricate and fit-up welded parts. Perform MIG welding, including FCAW and GMAW techniques. Read and interpret blueprints and weld symbols. Fit-up and weld pipe and pressure vessels. Fabricate pipe including miter, weld prep, and fishmouth. Visually inspect welds for any imperfections. Pass non-destructive examination (NDE) tests such as PT tests on welds. Grind weld preps and surfaces prior to welding. Complete tasks related to welding and fabrication under the supervision of the Welding Supervisor. Work independently and in small teams to finish jobs within the required timeframe. Essential Skills Vocational training in welding, preferably ASME certified. Ability to pass ASME 1G GMAW Proficiency in MIG welding. Ability to read and understand weld symbols and drawings. Valid Driver's License. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience with grinding and using a tape measure. Capability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. Why Work Here?
