General Laborer - Engineering Survey Support Location: Los Angeles County, California Job Type: Temporary/Contract Pay Rate: $20/hour About the Role: Fritz Staffing Group is hiring General Laborers to support our client on an engineering survey project. This is an entry-level role with no prior experience required. Workers will assist in collecting field data that will later be compiled into utility mapping for engineers and design professionals. Responsibilities: Place transmitters at designated locations as instructed by our client's supervisors. Walk and push survey instruments that collect data on underground utility lines. Follow safety guidelines and instructions at all times. Assist in ensuring a safe work environment on site. Important Notes: Workers are not responsible for performing calculations, interpreting data, or understanding the technical operation of the instruments. Training will not include details on calibration or inner workings of the equipment. Workers are prohibited from providing measurements to construction crews, coordinating with construction personnel (except for safety matters), or marking utility locations for third parties. Timeline and Key Details: Project Location: Los Angeles County, California Projected Start Date: September 3, 2025 Projected End Date: September 30, 2025 Daily Hours: 8 hours per day; 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM Required PPE: AR/FR rated shirt (8 calorie minimum), tucked in with sleeves rolled down, buttoned, and collar buttoned to the next-to-last button. AR/FR rated long pants (8 calorie minimum). Approved eye protection. Non-metallic hard hat OSHA Electrical Class E Approved (must be worn at all times on the jobsite). Composite toe leather work boots/shoes (reimbursement available at the end of the project).
