Millwright Mechanic Job Description We are seeking a skilled Millwright Mechanic to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating welding equipment, monitoring processes, and providing assistance as needed throughout the yard. Responsibilities Assemble components in flat, vertical, or overhead positions. Operate manual or semi-automatic welding equipment to fuse metal segments using various processes, including gas tungsten arc, gas metal arc, and others. Monitor the fitting, burning, and welding process to prevent overheating of parts or distortion of materials. Provide backup or assistance throughout the yard as needed or assigned. Report all equipment deficiencies or malfunctions requiring maintenance or repair to the proper supervisor. Maintain all shielded metal arc and gas metal arc welding equipment and replace as needed. Essential Skills Experience in troubleshooting, hydraulics, mechanical, welding, blueprint reading, repair, and maintenance. Proficiency in electrical and conveyor system operations. Industrial maintenance experience. Flux core welding experience. Experience with hand and power tools. Additional Skills & Qualifications Strong problem-solving skills.
