We invite you to join our estimating team, where you will contribute to building exceptional communities through accurate, data-driven cost assessments. What You'll Do Prepare accurate, detailed quantity takeoffs and cost estimates across all project scopes Analyze architectural and engineering plans to identify project risks and cost drivers Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier bids to ensure competitive pricing Participate in pre-bid meetings, site visits, and client presentations Collaborate with project managers to develop winning pricing strategies Track cost histories and monitor market trends to improve future estimates What Sets You Apart Strong technical skills-you read drawings and specs with confidence and accuracy Critical thinker who identifies scope gaps and finds value-engineering opportunities Highly organized-you maintain clear documentation, bid records, and vendor communications Skilled communicator who works seamlessly with project management, field teams, and subcontractors Problem solver who proactively addresses design discrepancies and scope clarifications Ability to manage multiple estimates under tight deadlines Your Toolbox Advanced Excel for cost modeling, pivot tables, and templates Intermediate proficiency in Bluebeam Revu for digital takeoffs and plan comparison Experience with digital quantity survey tools like On-Screen Takeoff (OST) or PlanSwift Understanding of construction specifications and how to translate them into scope sheets Familiarity with bid management software (e.g., Procore , BuildingConnected) Ability to draft clear, trade-specific bid scopes for subcontractors Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field 10 years of estimating experience in multifamily, mixed-use, or commercial construction Strong familiarity with digital takeoffs and estimating workflows Bonus : industry certifications, design-build or negotiated project experience, or background with fast-track/value-engineered construction Position Details Schedule : Monday-Friday, with occasional evening or weekend work as required to meet project deadlines. Travel : Minimal; primarily local or regional site visits for pre-bid walkthroughs or subcontractor meetings, with rare overnight travel. Supervision : Work in close collaboration with senior estimators; may provide guidance to junior staff or interns on specific tasks, but no formal supervisory responsibilities.
