POSITION OVERVIEW As a Senior Project Manager , you'll be at the heart of daily operations, managing commercial door and hardware projects with confidence, precision, and a customer-first mindset. This position requires an individual with a detailed, quality-oriented mind to coordinate with contractors and customers, ultimately meeting the company's production and quality goals. You'll coordinate closely with clients, general contractors, architects, and internal teams while managing budgets, timelines, and ensuring seamless delivery and installation of door and hardware systems. Supervisory Responsibilities This position will have direct supervisory responsibilities Project Management & Coordination Lead project planning, quoting, phasing, and full-cycle execution Analyze contractor/customer needs to create accurate quotes Direct and coordinate activities to ensure deadlines are met on time and within budget Serve as the main point of contact for clients, general contractors, architects, and internal teams Effectively communicate with contractors/customers throughout the entire project lifecycle Technical & Documentation Management Organize and coordinate door and hardware schedules and delivery logistics Review project documentation and sales sheets to confirm quantities, pricing, and specifications Produce accurate shop drawings and schedules using Comsense software Analyze blueprints and specifications to ensure compliance with UL, ADA, and life safety codes Manage project changes, revisions, revised purchase orders, and change order documents Project Lifecycle Leadership Lead all phases of the project lifecycle from initial client engagement through close-out: Conduct site walks and client consultations Develop detailed scopes of work and construction strategies Create and present accurate estimates for client approval Source and order materials Issue RFIs and RFPs to subcontractors Prepare comprehensive bid submittals and oversee final ordering Manage detailed project scheduling and daily oversight Coordinate subcontractor activities and job site operations Administer change orders and manage project documentation Handle invoicing and ensure timely payment Execute project close-out procedures and final client handoff Collaboration & Problem-Solving Work together with contractors during the bid process to secure new work Review scopes of work and construction plans to develop accurate takeoffs and cost estimates Participate in developing solutions for customers/contractors and Project Managers with technical issues involving hardware and door products Solve technical and logistical challenges in real time Collaborate with and manage Assistant Project Managers, Project Managers, and Project Engineers, reviewing their work as needed Contribute to a cross-trained, collaborative team culture with a focus on continuous improvement Safety & Quality Standards Perform all work in a safe manner Uphold the highest standards of safety, quality, communication, and client satisfaction Demonstrate willingness to cross-train and perform other job tasks in addition to primary assigned position REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS Experience & Education Minimum 5 years of experience in construction, building materials, door & hardware project management, estimating and detailing division 8 (door and hardware) commercial ground-up projects High school diploma or equivalent (associate or bachelor's degree preferred) Technical Skills Proficiency with Comsense software and Microsoft Office Suite Ability to read blueprints and perform takeoffs with technical accuracy Strong knowledge of commercial codes including UL, ADA, life safety, and related regulations Ability to interpret a variety of technical instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form Computer literate with ability to meet deadlines Professional Skills Excellent communication, organizational, and customer service skills Attention to detail with a solutions-first mindset Ability to solve practical problems efficiently Ability to work efficiently and independently while demonstrating willingness to work within a team environment Physical Requirements Must be able to lift 15 pounds at a time Prolonged periods of typing, reaching, bending, twisting, and standing Work environment conducive to office setting Must be able to perform essential job duties with or without reasonable accommodation Comprehensive Benefits Package Insurance Coverage: Medical, dental, and vision insurance (excellent PPO plans, company-portion paid) Health Savings Account (HSA) $25K Company Paid Life Insurance Supplemental voluntary insurance options Retirement & Time Off: 401(k) with company match Paid time off and paid holidays Additional Perks: Employee referral program Career growth and advancement opportunities Relocation assistance
