at Any Temp Heating & Cooling, Inc. in Bensenville, Illinois, United States Job Description Any Temp Heating & Cooling (Bensenville, IL) seeks an HVAC Lead Installer to perform and oversee heating and air conditioning installations, maintenance, and repairs in compliance with safety standards, lead technicians, interpret technical specifications, manage work orders, and assist with overseeing company operations. Specific duties include: configure and calibrate system, including adjusting thermostats, setting up airflow and testing system performance (5%); set up new heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems from scratch including placing ducts, installing units and connecting electrical and gas lines (30%); test systems to ensure they work properly, including checking for leaks, verifying temperatures and confirming the systems run efficiently (15%); follow strict safety protocols when handling refrigerants, electricity and gas connections to prevent accidents (15%); lead and coordinate the work of HVAC technicians (4%); interpret blueprints, design specifications and manufacturer recommendations to ensure proper installation of equipment and components (15%); provide technical guidance and training to improve team skills and performance (5%); schedule work with customers and initiate and manage work orders (5%); document time, materials and deficiencies and maintain accurate records (3%); overview company management in the absence of the owner (3%). Position requires HVAC Technician Certification, including EPA Universal License and R-410A Safety Certification, and Driver's License. Position requires daily travel within the Chicagoland area to residential and commercial worksites. Position requires minimum 5 years of experience in the job offered, or as a HVAC Technician or similar position performing heating and air conditioning installations. Must have a minimum 5 years of experience with each of the following: working with advanced low voltage controls; troubleshooting residential and light commercial systems; installing and servicing heat pumps, inverters, and hydronic and steam boilers; working with residential sheet metal; working with each of the following specialized testing tools: Manifold Gauge Set, Refrigerant Scale, Psychrometer, Anemometer, Combustion Analyzer, and Electronic Leak Detector; connecting electrical components or equipment; running inspections, maintenance repairs and checks; troubleshooting sensors, compressors, venting ducts, and heating elements; and using Service Titan software for scheduling, tracking, and managing service operations. Must have HVAC Technician Certification, including EPA Universal License and R-410A Safety Certification, and Driver's License.
