The Facilities Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the maintenance and repair of all Nite Ize buildings, grounds, equipment, systems, and infrastructure. This includes forklifts, packaging machinery, conveyor systems, racking, dock equipment, and facility systems (HVAC, lighting, plumbing). This role ensures equipment uptime, safety compliance, and efficient operation through effective planning, team supervision, and vendor management.

The position for Facilities Maintenance Supervisor will be open until September 15, 2025.

Key Responsibilities for Facilities Maintenance Supervisor:

  • Manage building systems, including electrical, mechanical, plumbing, HVAC, and waste management.
  • Ensure all maintenance activities are performed in compliance with OSHA regulations, company safety standards and meets needed specifications.
  • Coordinate with operations leadership to prioritize repairs and minimize equipment downtime.
  • Available to work flexible hours, including participation in an on-call schedule, which may include weekends and holidays
  • Lead and supervise maintenance technicians, custodial staff, and contractors in daily and preventive maintenance tasks.
  • Develop and implement policies, procedures and preventative maintenance schedules that ensure the optimal performance of all facility assets.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for recurring equipment failures.
  • Perform minor electrical, plumbing, hydraulic, pneumatic, and metal fabrication work.
  • Support and participate in continuous improvement initiatives focused on increasing equipment reliability and facility efficiency.
  • Use machine tools (lathe, grinder, drill, mill) and hand/power tools to inspect, test, fabricate, repair, or maintain machines, parts, jigs, and fixtures.
  • Oversee external contractors engaged in facility renovation or specialized projects as needed.
  • Dismantle defective machines and install new or repaired components in accordance with specifications.
Requirements

High school diploma or GED required; Bachelors/technical degree or certification preferred.

3+ years of maintenance experience in a warehouse, distribution, or manufacturing environment.

1 - 3 years of supervisory or lead experience required.

Extensive knowledge of building management and maintenance.

Strong knowledge of industrial equipment (forklifts, conveyors, stretch wrappers, etc.).

Advanced knowledge and experience in mechanical and facilities maintenance and repair.

Experience with electrical, HVAC, and/or other facilities maintenance required.

Must be detailed and able to balance several tasks simultaneously.

Must be able to thrive in a fast-paced, ever-changing work environment.

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., climb ladders, and perform work at heights.

Frequent standing, walking, bending, and working in varying temperatures.

Working conditions may be indoor or outdoor, in office and warehouse facilities.

Must be able to communicate fluently (read, write, and speak) in English.

Work Hours: This is a regular, benefits-eligible, position with normal hours M-F: 8:00 am - 4:30 pm. Overtime and/or weekend hours may be required.

Compensation: Hiring pay range $68,000 to $80,000, DOQ.
