Requisition 39104: Maintenance Electrician (Bellevue, OH)
Maintenance Electrician
Rate of pay: $21.31/hour (training) - $42.62 (after promotion)
Work week: Monday through Friday for ordinary maintenance and construction work, On-call
Principal duties: Consist of construction, installation, maintenance, and repair of all power distribution and lighting applications, maintenance and emergency repairs to moveable bridges, making required reports and keeping appropriate records for equipment and tools.
Priority candidates prerequisites for maintenance electrician position are:
Candidates must demonstrate the ability to evaluate and analyze data relating to electric power systems ranging from 69kV 2.3kV. They should be capable of recommending improvements for operational efficiency, identifying necessary repairs, and reporting safety concerns to supervision.
Candidates must have experience in either Allen Bradley or Modicon systems. This is essential for timely troubleshooting of various control systems to include: moveable drawbridges, power distribution systems, lighting systems, and heavy industrial control applications across equipment and facilities.
Candidates must hold an NFPA 70E certification. A candidate who does not possess one will be required to undergo company-provided training certification (NFPA 70E) for standard electrical safety in the workplace.
Candidates must possess a valid Class (A) CDL drivers license with the following endorsements: air brake, combination vehicle, hazmat. The CDL requirement is necessary to operate company line trucks and related equipment. A candidate who does not possess one will be required to undergo testing and must successfully obtain a Class (A) CDL.
Candidates must be able to climb steel towers and wooden structures up to 200 feet in various weather conditions. Tasks will include maintenance and repair of power distribution (69kV2.3kV primary) (480V120V secondary), lighting systems, moveable bridges, and other company facilities.
Candidates must provide proof of all certifications and training relevant to the electrical maintenance field.
Maintenance electricians position will be subject to 24/7 emergency call-outs to support company operations and respond to urgent situations/emergencies.
Maintenance electricians positions must be willing and are required to work extended stays at various terminals in the northern region to support the companys needs and emergencies.
All candidates will undergo an interview and skill evaluation to determine eligibility for consideration of placement to maintenance electricians.
Qualifications Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma/GED
- 18 years of age or older
- Valid Drivers License
- One year experience reading blueprints or electrical schematics
Preferred Qualifications:
- Two years electrician experience
- Completion of an electrical vocational or trade school program
- Journeyman Electrician
