Electrical Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking to add an Electrical Engineer to our team.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the design of electrical systems, including lighting, power distribution, grounding, and low-voltage systems under the guidance of senior engineers.
  • Prepare design calculations and documentation to ensure compliance with codes and client requirements.
  • Contribute to the development of plans, specifications, and design drawings using Revit and AutoCAD.
  • Participate in quality control reviews, learning to identify design inconsistencies and opportunities for improvement.
  • Collaborate with Project Managers and engineering teams to meet project deadlines and deliverables.
  • Review contractor RFIs, shop drawings, and product submittals, with support from senior staff.
  • Attend internal and client meetings to gain exposure to project coordination and communication practices.
  • Engage in on-the-job training and mentorship, actively building technical and professional skills.
Essential Skills
  • Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited college or university.
  • Professional Engineering License is required. (EIT will be considered)
  • 3+ years of professional experience in electrical design or related engineering work.
  • Strong interest in building systems design, including lighting, power, and low-voltage systems.
  • Familiarity with Revit and AutoCAD is preferred; willingness to learn BIM workflows and modeling tools is expected.
  • Basic understanding of electrical codes and standards (e.g., NEC, NFPA) is a plus.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, with a collaborative mindset and eagerness to learn.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment, with attention to detail and a proactive attitude.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Industrial experience in sectors such as Food and Beverage, Automotive, Advanced Manufacturing, and Data Centers.
  • Revit proficiency is a must.
  • PE or close to obtaining (8+ years) is advantageous.
Work Environment

The role is based in our growing Charlotte office with a hybrid work schedule: 3 days in the office and 2 days from home. The work environment is dynamic and collaborative, providing opportunities for growth and development within the company.

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Charlotte, North Carolina.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $90000.00 - $110000.00/yr.

Receive 10% bonus of salary.

Workplace Type

This is a hybrid position in Charlotte,NC.
