Description:

Primary Role and Scope

  • Responsible for managing all BIM-related functions across the lifecycle of the assigned project (cradle to grave).

  • Coordinates between design and construction models, ensuring integration with subcontractors.

  • Collaborates closely with MEP coordinators to ensure accurate field representation.

Engineering Responsibilities

  • Prepares and submits all required BIM-compliant documentation.

  • Develops coordination drawings to support project planning and execution.

  • Assists superintendents with construction work plans and coordination drawings.

  • Maintains current and accurate drawing sets at all times.

  • Generates, tracks, and follows up on RFIs related to BIM and coordination.

  • Maintains AS-BUILT models and ensures their alignment with construction progress.

Scheduling

  • Participates in 3-week lookahead scheduling meetings.

  • Assists field staff with schedule development and subcontractor activity tracking.

Enterprise Asset Management

  • Manages the Collection and organization data required to comply with asset management standards and systems.

BIM Process Leadership

  • Leads BIM efforts across design, construction, and closeout phases.

  • Ensures all project workflows incorporate BIM standards and processes.

Stakeholder Coordination

  • Facilitates collaboration among owners, designers, engineers, contractors, and field teams.

  • Resolves BIM-related design and coordination issues to minimize delays and ensure compliance.

Model Development & Management

  • Creates and manages BIM models across all project stages (design, construction, as-built).

  • Ensures accuracy, consistency, and adherence to project specifications and industry standards.

Quality Control

  • Implements quality assurance processes, including clash detection, model validation and Reality Capture.

  • Conducts regular audits of models to proactively identify and resolve issues.

  • Documents issues and generates reports for resolution and accountability.

Training and Support

  • Provides training to project teams on BIM tools (e.g., BIM 360, Synchro, Revizto).

  • Offers ongoing technical support to ensure effective model use in field and office.

COBie and Data Integration

  • Applies COBie standards for consistent data exchange throughout the project.

  • Manages integration of non-graphical data (costs, schedules, materials) to support digital twin creation.

Documentation and Reporting

  • Maintains thorough documentation of BIM standards, processes, and project-specific guidelines.

  • Prepares BIM-related progress reports and issue logs for stakeholder review.

  • Ensures all project BIM activities are traceable and well-documented for future reference.

Post-Construction Handover

  • Supports the transition of BIM data/models to the owner for facility management.

  • Ensures models are structured for long-term operations and maintenance use.

Project Participation

  • Participates in managing the prime contract and supporting owner relations.

  • Assists with subcontractor contract administration.

  • Attends and contributes to quality, cost, and schedule meetings.

Daily Project Management Tasks

  • Maintains communication with the owner and key stakeholders.

  • Manages coordination within the job team.

  • Reviews subcontracts, reports, and project correspondence.

  • Participates in cost control, progress, and schedule update meetings.

  • Prepares and updates 90-day schedules.

  • Ensures the project team avoids missteps and maintains compliance.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in a VDC/BIM coordination role (GC, subcontractor, or design firm)

  • Strong working knowledge of Revit, Navisworks, AutoCAD

  • Familiarity with Autodesk Construction Cloud, ReCap, and point cloud workflows preferred

  • Experience with MEP and Architectural modeling and understanding of construction phasing/logistics

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work across
