Merrick & Company is seeking a Senior Civil Engineer I to join our growing Civil Infrastructure & Land Development team in our Greenwood Village, Colorado office. Some travel to client sites throughout Colorado.
Annual salary range for this position is $125,000.00 - $162,000.00. Base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
WHAT YOU'LL DO- Independently apply extensive and diversified knowledge of principles and practices in broad areas of assignments and related fields.
- Works on a major project or several projects of moderate scope with complex features.
- Provide supervision and guidance relating to overall objectives, critical issues, new concepts, and policy matters.
- Provide direction on unusual conditions and developments.
- Regularly delegates, oversees and reviews the preparation of drawings, details, reports, calculations, specifications and other work products.
- Supervises and provides training for lower-level engineers and designers.
- Expert in codes and standards.
- Observed as a subject matter expert within Merrick.
- May serve as Discipline Representative.
- The successful candidate must possess good interpersonal skills to effectively interface with clients, contractors, and Local, State, and Federal government agencies and be capable of leading project progress meetings, make project presentations, and provide clear written communications.
- Represents the organization and maintains liaison with individuals and related organizations.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Degree Requirements: Bachelor of Sciences in Civil Engineering from an ABET Accredited Program is required.
- Minimum 12 years of experience in Land Development and/or Public Works.
- Residential Land Development and Site Civil design experience with local municipalities.
- Experience in AutoCAD Civil 3D
- PE License required.
- Must be eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship.
