Performs the installation, maintenance and repair of electrical systems for the organization.

This position is located at River District Hospital - East China, MI.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinates and performs electrical equipment maintenance, installations, and modifications according to all applicable codes and regulations.
  • Coordinates and performs testing of electrical systems as required by codes.
  • Troubleshoots and analyzes electrical problems.
  • Performs and develops preventative maintenance measures for all electrical equipment in compliance regulatory codes and ensuring operational readiness and performance.
  • Maintains and contributes to systems training manuals and upgrades as changes occur.
  • Performs and develops preventative maintenance measures for all electrical equipment in compliance with regulatory codes ensuring operational readiness and performance.
  • Maintains and contributes to systems training manuals and upgrades as changes occur.
  • Security response to code green and other situations as needed.
  • Other responsibilities include; drywall repair, painting, groundskeeping, and minor construction.
  • Troubleshoots and repairs general equipment, plumbing, patient beds, and HVAC.
  • Other responsibilities include welding, brazing, and soldering.

Qualifications

Education:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent - required.

License/Certification:

  • State of Michigan driver's license (DL) - required .
  • State of Michigan Journeyman Electrician License - required.

Experience:

  • Two years of experience troubleshooting and repairing electrical distribution systems in a healthcare environment.
  • O ne year of experience in welding, brazing, and soldering - preferred.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Follows Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required .
