Top skills:
Cisco router and switch experience
Firepower (Cisco's firewall)/ or other firewall experience
WMWare
Manufacturing experience is a plus!
MUST be OK traveling to some coal mine sites
Education and Experience
5-8 years of experience.
Expertise in server operating systems (Windows, Linux).
Network administration skills (routing, switching, firewalls, Cisco, Meraki).
Knowledge of virtualization technologies (VMware).
Understanding of security best practices.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Weekend work as needed.
Desirable skills:
Cloud computing proficiency (AWS, Azure, GCP).
Scripting and automation skills (PowerShell, Python).
Industrial/Manufacturing environment support.
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
Job Responsibilities:
Implementing infrastructure solutions in complex environments.
System administration: Installing, configuring, and managing servers, operating systems, and network devices.
Monitoring and troubleshooting: Identifying and resolving issues related to system performance, network connectivity, and application availability.
Capacity planning: Assessing future infrastructure needs and proactively scaling systems to accommodate growth.
Security management: Implementing security protocols and best practices to protect data and systems from unauthorized access.
Collaboration with other teams: Working closely with development teams, security teams, and application support to ensure smooth integration and operation.
