Position Description: Position SummaryThe Senior Project Manager is responsible for overseeing the full lifecycle of large-scale civil construction projects, from pre-construction through closeout. This role requires an experienced professional who can manage project teams, budgets, schedules, subcontractors, and client relationships with minimal oversight. A successful candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, leads by example, and embraces continuous improvement in both project delivery and team development.Key ResponsibilitiesLeadership & OversightServe as the primary point of contact for clients, engineers, and subcontractorsLead internal kickoff, preconstruction, progress, and closeout meetingsMentor and support Project Engineers, Assistant PMs, and junior staffPromote and enforce Siema's core values and operational standardsProject ExecutionManage multiple civil/heavy highway construction projects valued $3M-$20M+Partner with superintendents to ensure quality, schedule adherence, and productivityCoordinate with estimating during bid handoff and develop project startup plansEnsure strict adherence to OSHA standards and Siema's Health & Safety PlanScheduling & PlanningDevelop and maintain P6 baseline and 3-week lookahead schedulesConduct weekly schedule updates and monthly reporting with ownersAnticipate material, equipment, and labor needs to prevent project delaysFinancial ManagementCreate and maintain budgets, forecasts, and monthly cost-to-complete reportsReview and approve subcontractor pay apps, material POs, and change ordersManage billing, retainage tracking, and margin protection throughout the projectContracts & ProcurementReview prime contracts and ensure compliance with project requirementsNegotiate and execute subcontracts and material purchase ordersLead the submittal and RFI process from submission to closeoutDocumentation & ReportingEnsure accurate and timely project documentation in Viewpoint Vista and HeavyJobApprove timecards, equipment usage logs, and daily field documentationTrack project issues, resolve disputes, and drive closeout with owner acceptance Position Requirements: Required QualificationsMinimum 7 years of experience in civil or heavy highway constructionProven success managing DOT, drainage, earthwork, paving, or utility projectsStrong working knowledge of P6, Viewpoint Vista, and HCSS HeavyJobExcellent verbal and written communication skillsAbility to lead diverse field and office teamsValid driver's license and willingness to travel to project sitesPreferred Qualifications & CertificationsBS in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related fieldOSHA 30 CertificationSWPPP/Stormwater Compliance TrainingPMP Certification or equivalent project leadership trainingFirst Aid/CPR and Safety TrainingExperience with municipal or public infrastructure contracts Equal Opportunity Employer: Siema Construction is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
