Fabrication Supervisor - 1st Shift - Seymour, CT

Summary

Lead daily fabrication operations to achieve the highest standards of safety, quality, and productivity. Supervise personnel, manage schedules, and ensure compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, IATF 16949, and GD&T requirements, as well as company procedures and lean manufacturing principles.

Core Responsibilities

Safety

  • Maintain a safe work environment in compliance with ISO 45001 and company safety policies.
  • Enforce 5S standards, safe work practices, and correct equipment use.
  • Report and investigate incidents or near-misses in coordination with HR and the safety committee.

Quality

  • Ensure all products meet customer, ISO, IATF, and GD&T specifications.
  • Conduct and verify first-piece inspections.
  • Read and interpret prints, inspection drawings, and GD&T requirements for precision manufacturing.
  • Maintain material traceability and proper documentation in the M3 ERP system.

Productivity

  • Align production workflow with schedules to meet delivery targets.
  • Assign tasks, monitor performance, and coach employees for optimal results.
  • Drive continuous improvement using lean principles and team engagement.
  • Collaborate with the Fabrication Manager on process optimization and problem-solving.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years' supervisory experience in fabrication or manufacturing.
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, IATF 16949, and GD&T standards.
  • Proficiency with ERP systems and CNC/robotic machine programming.
  • Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and manufacturing reporting tools.
  • Ability to resolve conflicts and manage personnel matters discreetly.
