Immediate Need for Construction Estimator

Pay is going to be dependent on experience

2 year Project and then you will be relocated to another project or the corporate

office down south.

Summary of What You will be Doing

• You will be working with an evolving scope for an industrial manufacturing project.
• Coordinating the project from the first estimate all the way through subcontracts being formalized.
• Contacting subcontractors and suppliers requesting quotes to successfully bid or budget a project.
• Utilizing estimating systems to comprise an accurate budget or bid.
• Performing conceptual estimates based on limited drawings and specifications.
• Providing innovative solutions to complex issues as they arise related to cost, lead-times, trade partners, and/or specified products or materials.
• Making reliable predictions as it relates to cost and be comfortable estimating across all scopes or work.
• Ensuring that subcontractors are aware of (and commit to) the project schedule
• Read and interpret drawings and specifications accurately.

Required Qualifications/Technical Knowledge

• BS Degree in construction management, architecture, engineering or another
• 10 or more years of industrial construction or manufacturing experience with at least 5 of those years in an estimation role.
• Proven track record of design bid, Design/Bid/build estimating success.
• Strong knowledge of construction paving, underground, concrete and grading practices.
• Knowledge of Division 1 - 14 CSI master formats.
• Ability to read and interpret construction specifications and drawings.
• Thorough understanding of commercial construction systems means and methods.
• Must be able to work in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
• Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office, estimating software (WinEst, Timberline or similar), take-off software (On-Screen Takeoff or similar)
• Thorough knowledge of construction costs
