The Project:
Mace, as part of MPA delivery partner joint venture of Mace-Parsons-Arcadis, have been selected as the Gateway Development Commissions partners of choice to support the GDC across the Gateway Program in New Jersey, inclusive of the Hudson Tunnel Project.
The busiest rail connection between New York, New Jersey, and the Northeast Corridor, the Hudson Tunnel Project will improve capacity, reliability, and resiliency of commuter and intercity rail transit serving 800,000 daily passengers from Washington, D.C. to New York and New England. A milestone project supported by the bipartisan Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (IIJA), the project is slated to receive nearly $12 billion in federal funding, the largest investment in a mass transit project in modern history.

You'll be responsible for:
- Handles planning, scheduling, coordination, monitoring, and managing all phases of new construction.
- Manages financial aspects of construction, construction documentation including fee payment, rental equipment, income/expenses, to protect company interests and maintain good relationships with clients.
- Executes project delivery from initial design throughout construction phase.
- Reviews amplified drawings for changes and clarifications.
- Performs project status reviews by monitoring project schedule, submittal/RFI logs and open items.
- Has effective client communication throughout preconstruction phase, including meeting agendas and minutes.
- Reports directly to the principal with updates.
- Assists estimating team with quantity take-offs, scopes of work, and bidding processes.
- Collaborates across disciplines (design, preconstruction and construction).
Ideally you will have:
- Candidates should have a degree qualification or equivalent in an appropriate civil engineering or project management discipline.
- Experience in an engineering office environment.
- Experience in preparing typing and editing reports, contract specifications (to be performed under an engineer's supervision).
- Degree in civil engineering or construction management.
- Knowledge of the engineering, procurement and construction cycle and understanding of construction sequencing, means, and methods.
- Responsive to changing demands.
- Strong leadership skills.
- Tunneling experience.
- Experience in Federal Transit Agency projects.
- Familiarity with transit agencies (Such as PANYNJ, NJT, MTA, LIRR, Amtrak).
- Experience in delivery in programs or portfolios of significant value >$1bn is a significant advantage.
The estimated starting salary for this position is $140,000 - $180,000. Starting salary may vary based on permissible, non-discriminatory factors such as experience, skills and qualifications.
