We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Shop Fabricator to join our team. In this role, you will assist senior fabricators while gaining hands-on experience in metal fabrication, installation, and repair. Responsibilities include working with grease and dish duct systems in kitchen facilities, fabricating custom metal components such as safety ladders, handrails, fencing, gates, and equipment stands, as well as performing mechanical repairs on heavy equipment. The ideal candidate will demonstrate mechanical aptitude, a commitment to safety, and a willingness to continuously develop skills through on-the-job experience and company-provided training.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (including the following: Other assignments, projects, and duties may be required):

  • Assist senior fabricators in fabrication tasks.
  • Fabricate, install, and repair grease and dish duct in kitchen facilities
  • Fabricate various metal components ranging from grease duct, safety ladders and handrails, security bollards, equipment stands, custom wrought iron fencing and gates
  • Mechanical understanding and ability to repair equipment including tractor trailers, directional boring equipment, excavator buckets, etc.
  • Maintain a safe and organized work environment.
  • Continuously develop fabricating skills through hands-on experience.
  • Continuously improve work skills through in house training, including fork lift certification, man lift certification, and various safety training classes.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED).
  • Clean and safe driving record.
  • Fabrication experience is preferred.
  • Ability to read tape measure and interpret blueprints and isometric drawings

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:

  • Valid Driver's License to include active liability insurance.
  • Successful completion of required criminal record and motor vehicle record background checks.
  • Ability to pass a drug screening.
  • Certification from a valid welding program is a plus
  • Must pass in house certification test pertaining to applicable skills

Physical Requirements & Work Environment:

  • Ability to work in a fast pace environment.

  • Ability to lift at least 50 lbs.
