Prep Plant Electrician RU

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

Performs all duties and activities in a manner that conforms to site specific safety requirements, company policy, state and federal regulations.

• Diagnose malfunctioning components and equipment in an expeditious manner
• Repair malfunctioning and down equipment.
• Conduct preventive maintenance by inspecting, lubricating, replacing and/or adjusting equipment and components.
• Completes reports and records of repair and maintenance activities, work orders and inspections.
• Installs new installations in compliance with acceptable electrical practices and in compliance with the respective regulations as directed. Maintain proper face ventilation both permanent and temporary controls.
• Load and unload materials and supplies as required.

Other Duties/Responsibilities:

• Perform other duties as required.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Able to read and interpret electrical and hydraulic schematics.
• Process the ability to communicate well verbally and in writing.
• Familiar with the job procedures necessary to complete task in a safe manner.
• Should be able to cut and weld.
• Familiar with the machinery and equipment's function and operation.
• Know the Safe Job Procedures, Standard Operating Procedures, company safety policies, and applicable rules and regulations.

Working Environment/Physical Activities:

The operator must constantly be attentive to the changing geological conditions and surrounding environment.

Education, Qualifications and Training:

Underground coal miner's certificate

Annual 8-hour refresher training

On-the-job experience

Vocational training (optional)

Other qualifications as required by contract, regulations, and/or management.
