B&N Bridge Engineer Responsibilities:
Perform engineering calculations and plan preparation for bridge design and rehabilitation projects including analysis and design of complex structures
Mentoring and providing guidance to junior engineering staff
Developing unique and complex solutions to bridge problems for projects and pursuits
Skills & Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science degree from an ABET accredited program in civil engineering or equal. Graduate degree in civil engineering with a focus on structural engineering is preferred, but not required.
Professional Engineer (PE) registration is required.
5-15 years of bridge design experience and thorough understanding of engineering principles is required.
Experience with ODOT bridge design and rehabilitation projects is required.
Steel, concrete, prestressed concrete design and load ratings experience required; finite element analysis experience is a plus.
Proficient in MicroStation/OpenRoads. Experience with OpenBridge Modeler is a plus.
Strong interpersonal & written communication skills.
Self-motivated, adaptable, strong interpersonal and written communication skills with a focus on company culture.
