We are looking for a skilled Electrical Engineer with EPC experience in the metals and minerals industry to support electrical system design, layout, and commissioning of large-scale industrial facilities. The role requires collaboration with cross-disciplinary teams to deliver safe and efficient electrical solutions.
Electrical Engineer Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Design and develop power distribution, lighting, fire detection, and backup systems for industrial facilities.
Prepare engineering drawings, calculations, cable schedules, and specifications.
Conduct site inspections to ensure proper installation and compliance with design and safety standards.
Support troubleshooting and issue resolution during fabrication, installation, and commissioning.
Ensure compliance with NEC, IEC, IEEE, OSHA, and local codes.
Recommend and implement energy-efficient and sustainable electrical designs.
Coordinate with civil, structural, and mechanical teams to integrate electrical systems into overall plant design.
Electrical Engineer Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
7+ years' experience in electrical engineering, including EPC projects in metals/mining/heavy industry.
Proficiency in ETAP, AutoCAD Electrical, Revit MEP, or equivalent software.
Solid knowledge of electrical codes and industrial safety standards.
Experience with 3-phase power distribution, substations, motors, and instrumentation systems.
Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
Electrical Engineer Physical Demands
Must be able to work weekends and long hours in a high-pressure working environment.
Must be accessible at any time for emergencies.
Requires frequent bending, stooping and lifting.
Must be able to sit for extended periods of time.
Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds occasionally.
All the physical demands listed are essential functions.
