Pipe Welder Job Description We are seeking experienced pipe welders proficient in TIG, MIG, and flux welding techniques to join our full-service metal fabrication and welding company. Our services support vital sectors such as the oil and gas industry and data center infrastructure. Responsibilities Read blueprints and drawings and take or read measurements to plan layout and procedures. Determine the appropriate welding equipment or method based on requirements. Set up components for welding according to specifications, such as cutting material with powered saws to match measurements. Operate angle grinders to prepare the parts that must be welded. Align components using calipers, rulers, and other tools, and clamp pieces securely. Weld components using manual or semi-automatic welding equipment in various positions, including vertical, horizontal, or overhead. Repair machinery and other components by welding pieces and filling gaps. Test and inspect welded surfaces and structures to discover flaws. Essential Skills Proficiency in MIG and TIG welding techniques. Experience in pipe welding and fabrication. Strong understanding of welding equipment and methods. Additional Skills & Qualifications Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings. Competence in using tools like calipers and rulers for precise measurements. Experience in operating angle grinders. Attention to detail and ability to identify defects in welded structures. Why Work Here? Work Environment The position is based in a fabrication shop that is non-climate controlled. The work schedule is a night shift from 5:00 PM to 4:30 AM, Monday through Friday in Tulsa, OK. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Tulsa, Oklahoma. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $28.00/hr.
