Job Description & Skill Requirement:

Primary Responsibilities:

Bachelor of Science (BS) in electrical engineering with 3+ years of experience in related engineering discipline

Familiar with the use of test equipment to verify harness design and assembly.

Knowledge of harness design, fabrication, and installation standards such as IPC/WHMA-A-620, NASA-STD-8739.4, and MSFC-SPEC-494.

Experience with selection of connectors, backshells, wires, and other harness components.

Understanding of electrical grounding requirements and how to implement proper system level grounding via wire harness design.

Communicates effectively both verbally and in writing.

Ability to work well in a team, be proactive, and execute with minimal guidance.

Detail-orientated and able to manage multiple concurrent tasks.

Develops and maintains electrical product detail, assembly and installation designs (e.g., cable routing and

geometry, WHIDs, IRMs).

Provides engineering design disposition on discrepancies (e.g., rejection tags, production action requests,

and shop revision requests).

Documents processes, specifications and procedures that support the design and manufacture of electrical

commodities.

Develops basic statements of work.

Analyzes functional and physical input to assure development of complete integrated design.

Qualification:

Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM)
