Johnson Service Group (JSG), a nationally recognized recruitment agency, is assisting our manufacturing client in finding a Project Manager - Engineer that will lead and coordinate the delivery and execution of electric power generation sales projects. They will oversee the project throughout its entire lifecycle while collaborating with multiple internal and external teams to achieve technical and operational success.
Responsibilities:
Manage power generation projects from initial requirements gathering to final delivery and commissioning while abiding by regulatory and electrical standards.
Oversee engineering conception, design, procurement, and coordination for generator systems and auxiliary components while guiding through commissioning and execution phases.
Coordinate with internal teams and external partners to ensure all project components meet technical specifications and timelines.
Manage delivery coordination, including freight, crane operations, and on-site coordination.
Coordinate work with service teams to plan and schedule in-house and field technician support for installation, testing, and maintenance.
Prepare and maintain detailed project documentation, including schedules, budgets, and progress reports related to day-to-day operations, merchandising assistance, and all other information requested.
Maintain and communicate written and verbal communication with all parties involved (purchase orders with suppliers, submittals with engineering, communication with management, sales staff, and sales engineering).
Stay updated on industry trends, standards, generator technologies, new product developments, merchandising and pricing programs to incorporate best practices into projects.
Continually strive to maximize gross profit on all projects.
Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards throughout the project lifecycle.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in electrical or mechanical engineering
2+ years of experience in project management or power generation systems role.
Proficient in SolidWorks or AutoCAD; familiarity with SAP, ERP systems, and project management tools like Gantt Charts.
Strong understanding of generator systems, power distribution, and energy solutions.
Knowledgeable about engines, plus
Ability to regularly travel to customer sites.
