Bandsaw Operator Job Description We are seeking a dedicated Bandsaw Operator to join our team. As a Bandsaw Operator, you will primarily be responsible for running the band saw, with occasional duties that include drilling, punching holes, and maintaining cleanliness during slower periods. Attention to detail and proficiency in reading a tape measure are essential from the first day. We are also looking for this position to move into a driving role to deliver finished product to local customers. Previous experience backing up trailers or operating box trucks/semi's is preferred. Responsibilities Operate the band saw efficiently and safely. Perform drilling and punching of holes as needed. Maintain cleanliness by sweeping floors during slower times. Read and interpret measurements accurately using a tape measure. Essential Skills Proficiency in reading a tape measure. Experience with bandsaw and saw operation. Familiarity with overhead cranes. Ability to read blueprints. Mechanical inclination. Additional Skills & Qualifications Stable work history without frequent job changes. Why Work Here? Work Environment Work in a well-established steel fabrication shop consisting of three buildings. Expect a typical blue-collar environment with some dirtiness and no air conditioning.
